So I'll keep you updated.Įdit 2: Nope the problem is not resolved. That being said, I would like to verify if the drive is working properly. So I did it, but after hanging on for 5 minutes, I got an error "Diskpart encountered a problem : the system cannot find the file specified"Īfter the command clean, all the commands caused an error immediately, so the command clean actually did do something.Įdit: Although I couldn't do everything you've asked me to do above, I can actually access the drive normally: Make sure X is your flash drive and not your HDDįormat fs=FAT32 quick You can substitute NTFS for FAT32 if you wish the file system to be NTFS. Select disk X X being the number associated with the flash drive. Sometimes a flash drive will become read only and nothing can repair it other than a firmware flash. If that can help, here's a screenshot from the Command Prompt when I tried to figure out what was wrong. Windows asks me to format the stick whenever I plug it to the computer and the Linux GUI doesn't seem to recognize the harddrive. On Windows 7, I had to forcefully unplug the USB, because Windows' built-in formatting program froze.

I have bought a new USB stick to transfer images and videos between my PS4 and my PC and at first, my stick wouldn't work with my Playstation 4 and everytime I tried to transfer anything from the console I would get an error, but after a few checks on my Windows 7 computer I managed to make it work on my Playstation 4 apparently the stick had a problem of some sort.Īfter seemingly copying all my data from the console, I cannot get the stick to work on my PC anymore and I tried to format it on BOTH Linux and Windows, I used Gparted with Debian Jessie, but it wasn't doing anything at all, I waited like 30 minutes watching the loading bar going back and forth, but nothing was done.
